 Girls Slo-Pitch

Attention, sports fans! Last night and slo pitch action. Our lady Thunderbirds hit the road and travelled to Collingwood for their last doubleheader in league play! In the first game, we faced off against CCI and took our first loss of the season in a tough game with a score of 8-10.  But the loss only a fueled our desire to win heading into the second game against Stayner. With amazing pitching, defense, and hitting, we mercied them in 5 innings with a score of 15-0. The lady  Thunderbirds finish the regular season with a 5-1 record heading into playoffs next week. Great work ladies and Goooooooooooo Twin!

 Co-Ed Volleyball

Yesterday our Thunderbirds took the JOA Co Ed Volleyball tournament by storm during the round-robin matches, showcasing stellar serves, superb sets, blistering blocks, and hard hits. With their exceptional skills, they secured first place in their pool, advancing confidently into the playoffs. Facing formidable opponents like Bear Creek and JOA, your Thunderbirds emerged victorious, winning in straight sets of three. This remarkable feat propelled them to the championship round, where they squared off against the mighty Pickering. In a thrilling and closely contested first set, our Thunderbirds fought with all their might, but unfortunately fell short by a mere two points. Going into the second set your TBirds showcased their determination. Although they didn't claim the championship, they proudly secured a well-deserved second place in the JOA Co-Ed Volleyball tournament. Ms. Weick wants to commend each and every team member for their hard work, commitment, and good sportsmanship and is exceptionally proud of the determination they demonstrated on the court. Thunderbirds, you should all hold your heads high, as your performance was truly outstanding. Let's all congratulate our Sr. Co-Ed Volleyball team for their impressive achievements.  Their dedication and passion have made our school community.
